"Pilgrim's Progress"

In October 2010, Penny and I were upland hunting in Canada and drove past a lobsterman's yard with these colorful figures posed as a Halloween display. There was something so intriguing about them that I felt compelled to paint them, in the sense of their arrival on the shore as a Pilgrim's landing.
